Frequently asked questions

Does this upload my photos?

No. Inference and editing run entirely in your browser. The silueta ONNX weights (~43 MB) are served from Bestrao and cached locally.

WebGPU or WASM?

Background removal runs on the WASM engine for model compatibility. Editing still happens fully on-device in your browser.

How is this different from Background Remover?

Both use the same local silueta ONNX cutout. This tool adds a Fabric.js editor for background replace, undo/redo, and multi-format export.

Tips for cleaner cutouts?

Use a clear subject with contrast against the background. The first run downloads the model once; later images reuse the cache.
