How it worksShow guide

Introduction

Socket.IO wraps WebSockets with event names, acknowledgements, and transport fallbacks. This tester connects with socket.io-client, logs every inbound event, and lets you emit JSON payloads on demand.

Step-by-step

  1. Enter the Socket.IO server URL (no trailing slash)
  2. Connect and confirm transport upgrades
  3. Set event name + JSON payload, then Emit
  4. Review inbound events in the live log

Worked example

Connect to your staging API root, emit `session:create`, and inspect the acknowledgement payload in the outbound log.

Use cases

  • Validate custom Socket.IO namespaces during development
  • Replay auth and subscription events against staging
  • Debug Bestrao signaling-compatible servers

Frequently asked questions

Does this work with Bestrao XPortal signaling?
