How it worksShow guide

Introduction

Upload an image and encode it to Base64 or a ready-to-paste data URL. Conversion runs entirely in your browser — the file is not sent to Bestrao.

Step-by-step

  1. Drop or select an image (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or SVG)
  2. Choose data URL or raw Base64 output
  3. Copy the result or download a .txt file

Worked example

A 2 KB PNG icon becomes a data:image/png;base64,… string you can paste into an <img src> attribute.

Use cases

  • Embed small icons as data URLs in HTML or CSS
  • Prepare Base64 payloads for APIs or email templates
  • Debug inline image encoding without an online converter

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Encoding uses the FileReader API in this tab. Nothing is posted to Bestrao servers.

Data URL or raw Base64 — which should I use?

Use a data URL when you need a complete src= value (includes the MIME prefix). Use raw Base64 when an API or config expects only the encoded bytes.

Are large images a good fit for Base64?

Base64 increases size by about a third. Prefer it for small assets; for large photos, host a normal image URL instead.
