How it worksShow guide

Introduction

Run continuous ping frames against any WebSocket endpoint and visualize round-trip latency over time. The lab reports min, max, average, and p95 RTT so you can compare regions, VPNs, or gateway configs.

Step-by-step

  1. Enter a WebSocket URL that accepts text ping frames
  2. Connect, set interval, and Start sampling
  3. Review the sparkline and summary stats
  4. Export or stop the run when done

Worked example

Connect to your production gateway with a 1s ping interval for 60 seconds and confirm p95 RTT stays under your target.

Use cases

  • Compare latency to multiple WebSocket regions
  • Watch jitter during a long-running session
  • Validate SLA targets before launch

Frequently asked questions

How is RTT measured?

Each sample records the time between sending a ping frame and the next inbound message. For echo servers this approximates true round-trip time.
