About video tools
Bestrao’s video tools start with a full browser converter powered by FFmpeg.wasm: re-encode to MP4 or WebM, make GIFs, extract audio, trim clips, and tune quality without an upload.
The first run may download the WASM engine from a CDN. After that, conversion stays local — useful when a clip is private or too awkward to push through another cloud service.
Why local video conversion matters
Cloud converters often keep copies, watermark free tiers, or choke on privacy-sensitive footage. Running FFmpeg in the tab keeps the file on the device you already trust.
Phone clips are frequently oversized for chat and email. A shorter, smaller MP4 is usually all you need.
Typical needs
-
Step 1
Shrinking a phone video before sharing
-
Step 2
Converting MOV or WebM to MP4
-
Step 3
Pulling MP3 audio from a recording
-
Step 4
Making a short GIF from a demo clip
Frequently asked questions
Is the video converter free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with FFmpeg.wasm. Your media is not uploaded to Bestrao servers for conversion.
How large can my file be?
Up to about 100 MB. Longer or higher-resolution clips may need trimming or a lower resolution because browsers have limited memory.
